Operated since 1979 the Byron Bay Community Market is held at the Butler Street Reserve on the First Sunday of every month, plus Easter Monday and the Sunday before Christmas. Offered are a wide selection of bargains, ranging from local arts and crafts such as jewellery, glasswares,wood products and more. Organically grown fruit and vegetables, locally grown coffee, Byron Bay designed clothing, plants, bush furniture and exotic foods.
The buskers that perform at Byron Bay Market are first rate, many are professional performers from throughout the world. Some wander the aisles whilst others provide continuous entertainment in the performers arena. The band of the day showcases local musical talents.
There is a large eatery at both the front and rear of the market with all possible tastes catered for.
For the kids there are camel and horse rides, face painting and plaster painting. With all this on offer, Byron Bay Market is as much a monthly carnival as it is a market!!.. Come and enjoy a great day out an experience the culture of Byron Bay.
